  • Bilingual Teacher Support
  • Instructional Leadership

It is the goal of all New Mexico educators that our students should graduate from high school prepared for college and/or career opportunities. This means that we must dramatically improve student achievement and close the achievement gap. CESDP has a 16 year record of working with New Mexico districts and schools to improve teaching, learning, leadership and partnerships between schools, families, and communities.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 identifies four key priorities that will help the nation and New Mexico meet that goal: (1) adopting rigorous college and career-ready standards and high-quality assessments; (2) establishing data systems and using data for improvement; (3) increasing teacher effectiveness and equitable distribution of effective teachers; and (4) turning around the lowest-performing schools. The sustained quality professional development offered by CESDP will assist New Mexico schools in meeting all four of the ARRA key priorities.
