18th-annual Annual Back to School Family Institute (1992-Present)

  • An annual institute designed to provide families, educators, and community members with resources and strategies to strengthen Family, Community, School Partnerships across New Mexico
    Participants: Parents, Youth, Grandparents, Family Members, Teachers, Administrators, Social Workers and Counselors
    Target Area: Statewide 

ELL Academic Language Conference

  • A Professional Learning Opportunity with an Emphasis on
    Academic Language and Thinking
    Participants: Teachers, Administrators and Title III Directors
    Target Districts: Statewide

Statewide Youth Entrepreneurship Network (YEN) Business Plan Competition

  • An annual business plan competition for NM youth entrepreneurs (ages 12-18) that is judged by a panel of businessmen, college staff, and economic development personnel. Winners are awarded start-up capital for their entrepreneurial ventures. The YEN competition is often held in conjunction with the NM Governor's Summit on Economic Development.
    Participants: Middle and High School Youth
    Target Districts: Statewide

2020 Student Entrepreneurship and Leadership Youth Conference

  • The annual 2020 Conference is held in Española, NM at Northern NM College on Arbor Day for area high school youth interested in starting their own businesses. Students are introduced to an array of entrepreneurial business options including marketing in the arts, solar and alternative energy, value-added agriculture, media arts, "green" building, culinary arts, and educational ventures.
    Participants: Northern NM High School students (about 125 per conference) including Española, Mesa Vista, Taos, Peñasco, Pojoaque, Mora, and Las Vegas youth
    Target Districts: Northern New Mexico Districts
